Career Services
Balancing academic learning and real-world experience, the School of Communication connects students to the Office of External Programs, Internships, and Career Services (EPICS) as a resource for students interested in career coaching, alumni networking and more.
External Programs, Internships, and Career Services
External Programs, Internships, & Career Services (EPICS) provides personalized guidance, comprehensive resources, and opportunities for School of Communication graduate and undergraduate students to explore their career interests and develop meaningful connections with alumni and industry professionals as they prepare for life beyond Northwestern. The EPICS staff supports both undergraduate and graduate students with critical resources tailored to specific career communities.
Undergraduate Students
EPICS provides career programming and experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate students in radio, television, film, communication studies, dance, human communication sciences, performance studies, and theatre. In addition to these majors, EPICS staff offers guidance to help students attain their career goals at every stage and unlock their potential to achieve career success.
Graduate Students
EPICS support students enrolled in five diverse master’s programs focusing on the creative arts, communication, and leadership. Through career coaching, workshops, and experiential opportunities, EPICS encourages students to explore professional experiences and leverage their Northwestern education into a fulfilling and meaningful career.
Events
Whether through alumni talks, employer site visits, or small workshops with industry leaders, EPICS engages with the Northwestern community in Evanston, Chicago, and the world. Connect early and often with leading employers, alumni, and industry professionals through one of our events.
