2025 Emmy Nominations

The Emmy nominations are in and, once again, School of Communication alumni are feeling the love.
Announced on Tuesday, July 15, the following Cats got a nod:
Stephen Colbert (C87, H11), right, hosts Late Night With Stephen Colbert on CBS, which was nominated for outstanding talk series. The show has received 33 nominations over the course of its nine-year run. Colbert and his various projects spanning his career have netted a total of 48 Emmy Award nominations and 10 wins.

Kathryn Hahn (C95, H24), left, was nominated in the outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series category for The Studio on Apple TV+. This is Kathryn’s fourth Emmy nomination.

Britt Lower (C08), right, was nominated in the outstanding lead actress in a drama series for Severance on Apple TV+. This is Britt’s first Emmy nomination.
Seth Meyers (C96, H16) received nominations for Late Night with Seth Meyers Corrections in the outstanding short form comedy, drama or variety series category; and SNL50: The Anniversary Special in the outstanding writing for a variety special category. Seth and his career-spanning projects have been nominated for 25 Emmy Awards with one win.
Additionally, Ashley Nicole Black (GC08) and Liza Katzer (C08) are executive producers on Apple TV+'s Shrinking, which was nominated for outstanding comedy series; and School of Communication second-year theatre major Sarah Bock enjoys a recurring role on Severance as Miss Huang.
Severance led the charge with a whopping 27 nominations, the highest volume of any show, while The Studio followed up with 23.
The 77th Emmy Awards Ceremony will air on September 14 on CBS.
