Minor in Theatre

The Department of Theatre believes in giving students a full range of instruction and experience in the theatre arts—practice, history, and theory—along with the full benefits of a liberal arts education. With a minor in theatre, you’ll have the opportunity to explore your interests with courses in acting for non-majors as well as classes in voice and movement, stage production, directing, dance, playwriting, set, costume, lighting design, theatre history, literature and criticism.

Students will profit from the real-world experiences of more than thirty department faculty members as they develop their own innovative practice and scholarly pursuits.

The minor in theatre encourages students majoring in other fields to organize their theatre studies in a coherent manner gaining both depth and breadth in the study and practice of theatre.
