The process of applying to the School of Communication varies for undergraduate and graduate students.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Undergraduate admissions at Northwestern is need-blind for domestic applicants, which means your financial circumstances don’t affect your admission decision. A variety of financial aid options are available, including loan-free options for need-based aid, which don’t need to be repaid.

At the graduate level, aid varies by program. Doctoral students receive funding through a combination of assistantships and fellowships. For graduate students in our professional programs, partial scholarships are sometimes available.
