John Haas is a lecturer in the Department of Theatre and an academic advisor for the department. His research and professional work focuses on vocal music technique and pedagogy, music theatre history, and music theatre repertoire. He received a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the Northwestern University School of Music in 2004 and has an active musical theatre voice instruction / coaching career. He appeared in Jeff Award winning productions of LES MISÉRABLES and SWEENEY TODD and was recently a featured performer in the American Music Theatre Project’s reading of the Boublil and Schönberg musical, LA REVOLUTION FRANÇAISE. John is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
