Jacie McHaney

Jacie McHaney is a Research Assistant Professor in the Roxelyn and Richard Pepper Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Northwestern University. Dr. McHaney earned her Ph.D. in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh where she focused on auditory neuroscience and speech perception. 

Her research line focuses on the neural mechanisms underlying speech processing and uses neurophysiological (EEG, pupillometry) and cognitive computational neuroscience approaches. Her current work aims to develop a mechanistic understanding of the neural mechanisms underlying speech perception difficulties in adults with clinically normal hearing.
