The Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project
June 22, 2012
The Johnny Mercer Foundation and the American Music Theatre Project produce a weeklong songwriting intensive for emerging songwriters and writing teams, ages 18-30, each summer on the campus of Northwestern University. Now in its seventh year, The Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project hosts the nation's most promising songwriters across all genres including musical theatre, pop, country, Latin, rock, and contemporary pop. The six-day program of master classes and workshops will culminate in a showcase of new works by participant songwriters and a star-studded celebration concert. Both events are open to the public.
