Zayd Dohrn

Zayd Dohrn’s plays include The Profane, WantOutside People, Long Way Go Down, Sick, and Reborning. His work has received productions across the country and internationally, including at Playwrights Horizons, The Vineyard Theatre, Naked Angels, Steppenwolf First Look, and The Public Theater / Summer Play Festival. Zayd attended Brown University, received his MFA from NYU, and was a Lila Acheson Wallace Fellow at Juilliard. He is the recipient of the 2016 Horton Foote New American Play Prize, the Kennedy Center’s Jean Kennedy Smith Award, the Sky Cooper American Playwriting Prize, and Theatre Master’s Visionary Playwrights Award, and is a two-time winner of Lincoln Center’s Lecomte du Nouy Prize. He is currently writing television pilots for Showtime, 21st Century Fox, and BBC America.
