Maria Mastronardi is a cultural studies scholar whose research interests include gender studies, youth and popular culture, adolescence, and media studies.
Her forthcoming book After Ophelia: Gender, Adolescence, and the Politics of Discourse is a study of adolescent girls in today’s society. Mastronardi has written and lectured widely on gender, cultural studies, and youth culture. Her articles have appeared in the journals Cultural Studies and The Journal of Language and Social Psychology.
