The Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) is a national student organization that is dedicated to advancing the interests of students pursuing careers in audiology. Our SAA chapter at Northwestern is currently taking part in this collective mission in a number of ways. We hold tri-quarterly meetings in which we discuss current topics in audiology and ways to advance the group. We also organize and participate in community outreach programs, sponsor relevant speakers, maintain contact with Northwestern alumni, and engage in a variety of social events.
National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) — NSSLHA, founded in 1972, is a pre-professional association for graduate and undergraduate students interested in the study of communication science and disorders. NSSLHA has member representation on the policymaking board of ASHA and on selected committees and boards of ASHA. Our chapter is dedicated to providing opportunities for members to have access to educational, social, and philanthropic experiences during their tenure at Northwestern University.
